III. Review of last meeting:

  1. The Fund-Raising committee sent three letters to potential donors, seeking funding for the three projects ODL is currently working on: The computer lab, the Lascahob Project, and the Multi Sports complex project.
  2. Kaki will be working on the RFP (Request for Project) document so that a request for donations can be sent to the Melinda Gates Foundation. The RFP will be sent in two weeks.

  2. Pancho will make a trip to Lascahobas this week, during which he will obtain the measurements for the two football fields. This will be done as part of the Multi Sports construction project.
  3. A Post Office Box will be identified for ODL. Pancho will obtain from the Post Office information regarding cost and capacity. Pancho will complete this task by the end of the week.
  4. Yvon mentioned that he had sent to Kaki a document containing historical facts regarding the region of Lascahobas.
  5. In order for the Opening Prayer to be done orderly, a group of four individuals will be identified for that task. Simone will be the group lead and will help identify the other three persons.
  6. The Treasurer (Marcelle) reminded the group that the annual membership fee ($100) is due by March 30th. This can be done via Zelle, mail, or using the ODL website. If the amount sent is greater than the annual fee, the donor will specify how the surplus is to be spent.
  7. An accounting software (such as QuickBooks, Oracle NetSuite) will be used to compute donations and generate tax donation letters to our donors. This task will be achieved within two months.
  8. Manno mentioned that a letter ought to be written to all active members and friends of ODL seeking help for the three projects identified above. Elcie will write the letter (in English and in French), and will send it to Kaki who will identify a person to translate the letter in Haitian. This task will be accomplished in two weeks.
