We can do it

The Limits

We dream big and we want Lascahobas to be the best destination in Haiti. We do not have money yet to finance our projects but we are trying. Do not stay on the sidewalk to pass jugement or criticise, come plan with us the future ...

The Journey Begins Here

The 2nd floor of the house on 1300 Rogers Avenue Brooklyn NY was the hangout home for many Lascahobasians. On Saturday September 22, 1990, as usual, many us were there talking politics, sports and also the Nostalgia of our beloved Haiti. We were talking about "PRESTIGE" and were asking what can do to support the sport in Lascahobas. We have decided to invite all Lascahobasians to a meeting at Panchio mother's house located at 1701 Albany Ave Brookyn NY in two weeks.

That meeting on October 6, 1990 was the first big gathering of Lascahobas native in USA and also the birthday of ODL.

ODL Technology Center

ODL is seeking DONATIONS to better the education system in Lascahobas, Haiti. These contributions will go toward providing 50 computers to the Lycée Salnave Zamor de Lascahobas, as well as the technological tools to keep the computers running. This school will build a new and advanced computer lab that will be accessible to all students attending, as well as students from other local schools. Currently, Lascahobas has 30 schools with a total of 13,817 students. These schools do no provide access to computers nor do they teach the fundamental skills needed in order to operate such technology. As computers are an essential learning tool, providing access and training will allow these students the instruments needed for developmental success and opens the door to new opportunities.

PORTRAIT D'UNE MADAN-SARA

all tasks and dreams

ODL has received a very generous gift of 150 books from our own published author Dr. Fritz Gelin.

Nabella, Portrait d’une Madan-Sara represents the importance of a workforce in Haitian culture that is often neglected. The struggle these courageous women and men endured to help provide for their families has helped shape the backbone of the Haitian economic system. This book will take you back to the lives of those brave, resilient individuals who would not stop at anything to put food on the table. It raises awareness to a topic that is rarely discussed within the community but the impact is too crucial to be ignored.

Our goal is to reach a total donation of 5,000 dollars, which we will use for the advancement of youth sports in Lascahobas. Please support this cause by purchasing the book for 30 dollars either online or at the General Assembly Meeting on Saturday, July 17, 2021. Thank you in advance for your generous contributions.
